Liv Heinemann with Regent's academics accepting award

BA (Hons) Business and Management student Liv Heinemann receives the Dr Nicholas Bowen Award for Excellence

The Dr Nicholas Bowen Award for Excellence was established in 2017, at the wish of Dr Nicholas Bowen. Dr Bowen was instrumental in the success of international business at Regent’s from 1980 to 2012. He was awarded an Honorary Senior Fellowship in 2017, which he was honoured to accept. He was also President of the Chartered Institute of Linguists from 2012 until his death, having worked with the institute for more than 25 years.

Liv stated that she is 'extremely honoured' to receive this award, adding that it has motivated her to 'keep striving for excellence, building inclusive communities, and creating value through meaningful impact'.

Today, the Dr Nicholas Bowen Award for Excellence offers £2,000 to one student who best demonstrates the following attributes:

  • Academic performance
  • A spirit of enterprise
  • Commitment to internationalism
  • Ability to build community spirit amongst the student body
