I’m Letizia Le Rose, 20 years old, from Milan, Italy. I study BA (Hons) Fashion Design and am currently in my second year, having completed a foundation year at Regent's. I chose Regent's because I’ve always loved the campus and its vibrant energy. I first visited about six years ago for my sister’s graduation. She had an amazing experience here, and I’ve always looked up to her as a role model.
In week four of the spring term, Chloe Beeney, Fashion Director and Stylist, visited our Industry Challenge class at Regent's to discuss our project. At the end of the session, she mentioned she was looking for interns but wouldn’t share her email. She said that if we were serious, we would have to find it ourselves. Determined, I searched everywhere, contacted her through her website, tried connecting on LinkedIn, and eventually asked my tutor for help. I finally got her email, sent over my CV and some of my previous work. After a while, she replied, saying I was the only one who managed to reach her. She was preparing for a photoshoot with F Magazine (Italy) and asked if I’d like to assist as her fashion stylist. Naturally, I said yes.
The internship lasted three days, from Monday 31 March to Wednesday 2 April. The highlights for me were working with a professional team, seeing the behind-the-scenes action of a photoshoot, and being immersed in that environment. I absolutely loved working with Patsy Kensit - her confidence and presence were inspiring. Teamwork is key, and you feel it instantly. My biggest takeaway was the confidence I gained. This experience confirmed that I’m on the right path, and I feel more certain than ever about my future in fashion.
I would absolutely recommend Regent’s. It offers incredible opportunities, welcomes everyone, and makes you feel at home, even in a bustling city like London.
