Regent’s Business courses admitted for membership of two major accrediting bodies

We’re proud to share that Regent’s University London’s Business courses have been admitted for membership of two major accrediting bodies – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the AMBA’s Business Graduates Association (BGA).

AACSB is the most sought-after accreditation by the world’s best business schools, bringing together the brightest minds in business education for positive societal impact. Over 950 business schools are AACSB-accredited, including internationally renowned institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, and Columbia Business Schools. AACSB membership is the first step on Regent’s journey towards becoming accredited by them.

The Association of MBAS (AMBA) is the world’s premier specialist MBA and postgraduate management education quality assurance provider. Within this, the BGA is an established international membership and quality assurance body for world-leading business schools, focusing on positive impact, responsible management and lifelong learning to support members in becoming pioneers in sustainable and innovative business education. As a member institution, Regent’s students and graduates will be able to benefit from access to professional development tools, global networking events and much more.

On becoming a member of the AMBA’s BGA, Director of Content - Business, Finance and Entrepreneurship Professor (Dr) Zubin Sethna said: ‘This is a significant milestone for Regent’s. It recognises the strength of our business education and empowers us to further enhance our students’ experience so that they graduate as globally minded, ethical, and entrepreneurial leaders.’

Director of Content - International Business Professor Jonathan Wilson added: ‘We pride ourselves on our applied theoretical and immersive approach to preparing our students and serving industry. We’re wise to challenges and opportunities; we nurture entrepreneurial and commercial awareness; and we celebrate social responsibility, multiculturalism and internationalism. The BGA’s recognition of this validates our continued hard work and is the icing on the cake for our business courses.’

Speaking on what this means for the University, Associate Provost Lawrence Phillips said: ‘Forging partnerships with two of the world’s most important Business school organisations, the AACSB and AMBA/BGA, is a transformative step for Regent’s. It will enhance student access to high quality educational and business resources, to global networks, and professional career development.

What’s more, alongside our existing partnerships with the Chartered Managers Institute (CMI) and the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), it reflects our absolute commitment to enhance students' opportunities and growth into brilliant professionals’.

Regent’s memberships to the AACSB and to the AMBA’s BGA came within just days of each other. To be admitted membership to not one but two major accrediting bodies in such a short space of time is a testimony to the world-class teaching delivered by staff across our business courses and the incredibly high bar set for our students.
