Not only is it a great way to develop your confidence and communication skills, but you’ll also make new friends, gain new perspectives and build valuable relationships. Join us for a term or two, or take part in an exciting six- or twelve-week summer programme.
Studying at Regent’s means you’ll be part of one of the UK’s most cosmopolitan universities – mixing with students and staff from over 140 nationalities. While you’re here, you’ll join lessons, lectures and live projects with full-time students – partnering with businesses and brands to bring your learning to life, provide industry insights and put your skills to the test.

We welcome applications from students nominated through our partnership network, as well as applications from independent study abroad students who wish to study at Regent's for a short period of time as part of their degree.
Study Abroad modules
When completing your online application, you’ll also be asked to choose your modules. You can register for modules across most subjects, but you're more likely to avoid timetable clashes if you choose from similar levels and areas. The maximum number of credits you can take is 40 ECTS, although we believe 25-30 ECTS offers a more balanced workload.
Choosing your modules
Before you submit your choices, please read each module specification carefully and discuss your preferences with your home university. This is a detailed description of a module’s content, readings, learning outcomes, teaching approaches and assessment methods. You’ll find these linked on the pages above. It’s your responsibility to:
- Assess whether a module is suitable for your academic path
- Not choose modules that you’ve already studied or are currently studying
- Check how many credits you need to take while at Regent’s
- Ensure the modules you choose amount to the correct credit load
Bear in mind that you’re not allowed to try out a module to see if you like it. The timetabling process is a complex procedure and – once you’re assigned to a module – it’s not possible to reassign you to a different one unless there’s a valid academic reason to do so:
- Not being able to graduate without a specific module
- Not being able to come to Regent's unless you take a specific module
- Not being able to transfer credits for certain modules
If you need to change your modules for an academic reason, you can do so at the beginning of term. This will need to be supported by a written confirmation from your university.
Although we try our hardest to accommodate your preferences, we can’t guarantee you’ll be given your first choices (due to timetable clashes and cancellations). Therefore, as part of your application, we ask you to select at least one alternative for every first-choice module. If we’re unable to offer any of these, we’ll be in touch prior to your arrival. You’ll be able to view your final timetable after completing registration at Welcome Week.
Understanding module levels
At Regent’s, undergraduate modules sit at levels 4-6.
- Level 4: Introductory modules offered in the first year of a bachelor’s degree. The first number in the module code is a 4 (e.g., BUS415)
- Level 5: Intermediate modules offered in the second year of a bachelor’s degree. The first number in the module code is a 5 (e.g., MDC501)
- Level 6: Advanced modules offered in the final year of a bachelor’s degree. The first number in the module code is a 6 (e.g., STG602)

If you submit your application by this deadline, your place on our study abroad and exchange programme will be guaranteed, provided entry requirements are met and all required documents are submitted. Late applications can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
2025-26 tuition fees

Please note that discounts might apply for students applying from within our partnership network. Please also note that you won’t be required to pay any tuition fees to Regent’s if you are applying via the Exchange programme.
Nomination process
If you're applying via an institution that's part of our partnership network, or via an agent, you'll need to be nominated by your home university or agent to take part in our study abroad and exchange programme. Your home university/agent should fill out this nomination chart and return to studyabroad@regents.ac.uk by 11 July 2025.
Please note: Free-movers not studying at one of the institutions in our partnership network and applying independently are not required to complete this step. Please enquire now and we can send you the link to the online application form.
Application process
When the nomination has been received and accepted, you'll receive an email from our team with an application link and instructions.
You will need to have the following documents ready to upload during the online application:
- Copy of an official updated academic transcript
- Copy of passport (photo page only) or ID card
- Personal statement (only for free-movers applying independently or via an agent)
- Proof of English: a copy of one of these English language tests – please also refer to the UKVI website for more information and exceptions.
If documents are not issued in English, we require both the original and an official English translation.
Choosing your modules
You must include your module choices in your application in order of preference. The new module lists for Autumn 2025 will be available soon.
What happens next?
You will receive your offer letter within 4 weeks of submitting your application, provided all documents have been received by the application deadline.
To accept your offer, you'll be required to pay a 1000 GBP deposit (1-term programme) or 4000 GBP (2-term programme) at the time of acceptance.
If your home institution pays Regent’s on your behalf, you'll have the option to accept or decline your offer in the student online portal. If you accept your offer, your home university will be invoiced for the full deposit amount.
We also recommend you apply for on-campus housing as soon as possible. You'll need a student ID number to complete your on-campus housing application, which you'll receive after submitting your study abroad/exchange application.
Accommodation
We offer on-campus accommodation in Reid Hall, located in the leafy grounds of our Regent's Park campus – overlooking gardens, a lake and the surrounding royal park. Living in halls allows you to relax and socialise on campus while being just a short walk from classes, shops and restaurants in Marylebone, and the nightlife of the West End.
You'll receive the housing application link as part of your application.
