Overview
Dr Chris Robus is a lecturer and researcher in psychology, specialising in cognitive psychology, behavioural neuroscience, and cyberpsychology. Chris became a member of academic staff at Regent's University London as a Lecturer in Psychology in September 2021, and is currently the Course Leader for the BA Psychology course. His PhD investigated the effects of emoji on eye movements during reading, perceptual processing of sentences, and memory retrieval. Chris is a chartered psychology and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Chris teaches topics on biological and cognitive psychology, research methods in psychology, and conceptual issues in psychology, on the BA Psychology and wider undergraduate curriculum, and MSc Psychology. He also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate course dissertation projects on topics including cognition, online behaviour, and technology use.

Research Interests
Chris’s research interests include the use of textual shortcuts and icons in online communication, cyber-cognition, virtual reality, social media and virtual behaviour, human-AI interactions, and gaming behaviour.
Research Supervision
Chris supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and is open to applicants with PhD proposals.
