Professional Biography

Julia Rédei is a transdisciplinary academic with a visual-verbal creative art practice that informs her approach to teaching, learning and research.

She joined Regent’s in 2003. She has been teaching across International Business, Business & Management and Liberal Studies at Foundation and Undergraduate levels and has supervised undergraduate dissertations.

Julia’s teaching areas include leadership, cross-cultural management, creativity, innovation and Modern Chinese History. Previously, Julia taught Business German at Regent’s, the London Business School and King's College London. Between 1992 and 1996, Julia lived in New York City where she worked as Language Manager at Bowne International, a financial printer and as Coordinator of Corporate Programs at China Institute.

Julia has a master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and an MA in Chinese Studies, Political Science and Public Law from Bonn University.

Julia has long been interested in Asia. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently and lived in China between 1984 and 1986. She has travelled, worked and studied in Southeast Asia, Japan and India. She is interested in Eastern thought and religions and how those impact past, present and future developments.
