Professional Biography

I am an interdisciplinary scholar, cultural animateur, artist, and activist. Recently, I submitted my Ph.D. in Media and Communications at the University of Sussex, focusing on the evolving value of activist labour within the contemporary Polish feminist movement. I hold a distinction in MA Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick.

My academic journey has been enriched by a background in cultural management, providing me with a unique perspective that I bring to both research and teaching. I am passionate about shaping interdisciplinary exploration in the fields of media studies, social sciences, and contemporary art. This diverse background allows me to approach topics such as political communication with a nuanced and comprehensive understanding, ensuring that my courses are both informative and engaging for students.

  • 2017-2023 PhD in Media and Communication

    The thesis explores the evolving value of activist labour within the contemporary feminist movement in Poland, which began in 2016 with mass protests against abortion law restrictions. It investigates how the value of activist labour is centralized, decentralized, connected, and restricted. Through empirical research (28 interviews), the study examines the complex relationship between two facets of activist labour: embodied, situated experience, on one hand, and narrative and rhetorical tools employed in activist battles, on the other.
