Professional Biography

Nicola is a highly experienced front-office specialist in Fixed Income and Asset Allocation across markets and countries. Across his 20 years of experience in trading and portfolio management, gained at European financial institutions, he has focused on interest rates, currencies, high grade, high yield, distressed credit, real estate, and equities. 

He has managed passive and active mutual funds and portfolios by applying both global macro and credit strategies, as well as analysing and negotiating distress assets acquisition with leading Private Equity funds.

He also works as a consultant for financial institutions and as a visiting lecturer at London Business School for the Investments and Corporate Finance courses of the Master in Finance.

Nicola was a winner of a Private Asset Managers (“PAM”) Award and recognized as one of Wealth Management’s Rising Stars (“Best 40 Under 40”) in 2011.

Research Interests

Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and their potential impact on reforming payment systems, monetary policy tools, and the international institutional financial structure.
