Vicky Haji-Ghassemi

Professional Biography

Dr Vicky Haji-Ghassemi is the Course Leader responsible for all postgraduate programmes in Management; a Senior Lecturer in Management, HR & Organisations; and member of the university Ethics Committee - having joined Regent’s University London in 2014.  

A strong focus of Vicky’s university work lies in enhancing student learning experiences and employability - where she consistency receives positive student feedback and forges warm relationships that last beyond the classroom and graduation.  

Through her network, Vicky has brought in various top guest speakers from industry - including Hugo Boss, Swarovski, Net-a-Porter and Selfridges.  

She has supervised and examined students at doctoral level, supervised over a hundred undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and is an Associate Editor of Emerald Publishing Group’s Journal of Islamic Marketing. 

The title of  Vicky’s PhD is, ‘SMEs and their approaches to Internationalisation: Continuities and Variations’, and she holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management, an MSc in International Business Management, and a PGHCE. 

Vicky is often invited to speak at academic and industry events, and has served as an industry panel judge. Her research and scholarly interests are in global staffing, mobility, expatriate management, cross-cultural studies, and organisational flexible work strategies. 

She won Best Paper at the British Academy of Management (BAM) 2019 conference for her paper titled, ‘The role of Trust, Social Capital and Networking in the performance of the internationalisation of SMEs’.
