Anna Schebsdat, MA Management (Marketing) alumna

Anna Schebsdat, an MA Management (Marketing) alumna, is a passionate advocate for global education and intercultural cooperation, and is involved in, and committed to various collaborative non-profit projects and initiatives in these sectors.

A self-labelled global citizen and multi-linguist, Anna has studied and worked in Moscow, Dresden, New York and London, and has been based in Dubai for the last decade. She oversees the recruitment of Executive MBAs at City, University of London’s Dubai campus, is the President of Columbia Business School’s UAE Alumni Chapter and Board member at Columbia Alumni Association UAE, and is also an Advisor for the Al Suwaidi Foundation and the Abu Dhabi Arts Society. She is also a part of Expo 2020 Official Volunteer family.

With more than a decade in business development and international and executive education, Anna is inspired by, and committed to, continuous learning and skill development. In Anna’s view, the demand for executive education at world-class institutions will continue to grow, as mid-career professionals face the need to upskill and remain relevant in a rapidly changing technological and business landscape.

However, to get to this career stage, a strong foundation of experiences, knowledge, and skillsets is essential – and that is where Regent’s comes in, with its mission to prepare tomorrow’s global leaders.

Having experience with some of the world’s best educational institutions, both as a student and employee, Anna has identified three criteria essential for academic and future professional success in deciding on which school to join: brand, learning, and network.

She says that the partnerships formed between students, academics and alumni at Regent’s provide a great platform to develop both social and professional connections and opportunities. Anna was an exchange student at Regent’s, where she visited for a semester from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and yet remains an engaged member of the Regent’s global community: she supports the BA (Hons) Liberal Studies (Art History) course, and the Regent’s Club in Dubai.
