‘The career hub was instrumental for me.’
Antonio Pasqualucci, now a management and business change associate at Santander, graduated from MA Management and International Business in 2016, and owes much of his early career success to Regent’s and the career hub.
‘I engaged with the career services as soon as I joined Regent’s, utilising the CV and cover letter support services, and also making the most of all the resources and information available.’
Less than a month after graduating, Antonio gained his first job in management consultancy working on a project for Santander. Soon after, he joined the bank full-time, and has carried his experiences and knowledge from the classroom, Careers Hub and Regent’s Mentoring with him.
Antonio was a Dean’s List student, but in hindsight, acknowledges he should have spent more time with his mentor, but still the impact of the relationship was profound.
Now a Regent’s mentor himself, Antonio wants to emphasise the value of ‘objective advice a mentor can offer that is rarely available from friends or family.’
When this big-picture viewpoint is combined with the specific and targeted support of the careers team, and the ‘practical knowledge and concrete links to business’ taken from the classroom, Regent’s graduates, as Antonio was, ‘are prepared for the world of work.’
For this and much more, Antonio says that ‘Regent’s is the place to choose.’
In the spirit of Regent’s and of preparing tomorrows global leaders, Antonio believes in making an impact. ‘First, you make an impact to get noticed, and as your career develops, you become the one who empowers other to make an impact,’ he says.
Now as an established financial services professional, Antonio wants to give back. For him, ‘it is about giving time, listening and being supportive. I want and like to make an impact—and that includes as a Regent’s mentor.’
