Soon after graduating from BA Fashion Design, Algerian-born Ilyes won television show Fashion Star Arabia and was named as a finalist in Fashion Trust Arabia’s eveningwear category – redesigning and embroidering basic eveningwear essentials to inject a contemporary feel. Launched in 2016, his eponymous brand was inspired by his mother’s wardrobe and strives to shed a light on the under representation of Arab and North African women within the fashion industry.
