Behind the Scenes at the 2025 Brit Awards

BA (Hons) Media and Communications students Eloise Neuschatz and Rylyn Jostes recently attended the 2025 Brit Awards, an opportunity provided by entertainment PR firm Dawbell PR which gave them to find out what happens behind the scenes at a major awards show.

Here's Eloise and Rylyn's insight into the evening!

The 2025 Brit Awards was an unforgettable night - glamour, music, and a whole lot of famous faces.

Getting the chance to be there was a dream come true for both of us. As Media and Communications students, it wasn’t just about soaking up the atmosphere; it was also a rare chance to see how the media world operates behind the scenes. Watching the show from the media room gave us a real insight into how stories and content come together in real time.

From the moment we arrived at the O2, it felt like stepping into the middle of a massive party. Music blasted from every speaker, the red carpet was buzzing with photographers, and anticipation filled the air as everyone waited for the night’s biggest stars to arrive. We wandered around, chatting with journalists who gave us the inside scoop on how the night would unfold before heading to our seats - where we had an amazing view, right near some of our favourite celebrities.

Jack Whitehall was the perfect host, delivering slick jokes throughout the night. The first performance set the bar high - Sabrina Carpenter dazzled in a glittery red outfit inspired by the Royal Guard, flanked by backup dancers as she sang two of our favourite tracks, Espresso and Bed Chem.

Watching some of Britain’s biggest stars - Charli XCX, Ezra Collective, The Last Dinner Party, Chappell Roan, Fontaines D.C., Stormzy, Sam Fender, Jade, Raye, Myles Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, and AG Cook - collect their awards was surreal.

The night wrapped up with a stunning performance from Lola Young, who closed the show with her number-one hit Messy.

The Brits 2025 was an electrifying experience that left us in awe of the sheer talent and creativity on display. But more than that, it felt like our first proper step into the professional media world. Hopefully, this won’t be our last time covering the biggest night in British music.
