Regent’s alumna raises £3.6m in fintech seed funding

Felicia Hjertman, Founder and CEO of fintech investment platform, Tillit, has successfully closed a seed funding round of £3.6m.

Felicia Hjertman, who studied International Business at Regent’s University London, launched her investment platform in November 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drawing on her 10+ years' experience in investment management, she highlighted how start-up businesses have a wide range of opportunities to attract investors as markets keep expanding.

Felicia comments: ‘With a wave of new private investors having joined the markets since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the retail investment market is expanding rapidly. At the same time, recent stock market volatility has highlighted the difficulties of navigating what to invest in, and when.’ For her start-up company, Tillit, this was an ideal opportunity to implement their goal of reinventing how people invest.

She continues: ‘We’re incredibly excited to embark on the next phase of Tillit’s journey and thrilled to close our seed funding round with the backing of investors. It’s a strong sign of conviction and potential from the people who have watched us grow over the last 12 months.’

Regent's International Business degree provides a strong foundation in business management, preparing students to work for multinationals or start up international businesses.
