Regent's appoints Valerie De Saegher as new Director of HR

Regent’s is pleased to announce that Valérie De Saegher will start as the new Director of HR, on 6 April. 

Valérie brings 18 years of commercial, human resources experience to the role. Most recently as HR Director (EMEIA) at Burberry, and previously working in senior roles at Marks & Spencer (as Head of HR, Europe) and the Royal Bank of Scotland.  

Valérie is passionate about developing talent and building successful, high-performing teams and has strong experience in employee relations. 

Vice-Chancellor & CEO of Regent’s University London, Professor Geoff Smith, said: ‘We are delighted that Valérie is joining Regent’s at this important juncture for the university. Valérie brings a wealth of senior experience and will be invaluable in helping to drive the university forward through an agile and inclusive culture.’

Valérie will join the Vice-Chancellor's Executive Team helping to deliver the new strategy at Regent’s. Her responsibilities will include leading the HR Team, implementing the University’s people project and developing new ways of working in agile teams across the organisation.
