Regent's to host Universities Business Challenge Worldwide

Regent’s University London will be the venue for two important student events when it plays host to the Universities Business Challenge Worldwide (UBC WW).

The Universities Business Challenge Worldwide is the world’s longest established simulation-based competition designed to develop employability and enterprise skills in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

Supported by Regent’s University London and other leading UK universities and graduate employers, over 30,000 students have benefitted from taking part in the UBC Worldwide Challenge since 1998.

The UBC WW is a simulation-based event that provides students working in teams of up to five members with the opportunity to act as a board of directors who have taken responsibility for improving the performance of a realistic but fictional company. They need to take into account not only the financial performance of the company, but also its responsibilities to its various stakeholders including its suppliers, its customers and its employees.

Teams are ranked in terms of financial and non-financial performance of the company they are running and each round is highly competitive. Round one of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate competitions are run separately on-line and teams winning through are invited to attend live one-day Semi-finals and Grand Finals.
