Regent's welcomes new Head of International Partnerships Office

Regent’s University London is delighted to announce the appointment of Ahmed Masoud as the new Head of the International Partnerships Office.

Joining Regent’s from Oxford Brookes where he worked as Head of International Partnership Development for over nine years, Masoud has also previously taught at a number of other UK institutions and finished a PhD at Goldsmiths College at the University of London.

“I am excited to be joining one of the UK’s most international universities with a commitment to enhancing international education through various models of partnerships,” Masoud said of his new post.

“The changing landscape of higher education in the UK and abroad provides both enormous challenges and opportunities to continue to strengthen the University’s worldwide reputation as a champion of global education.”

The International Partnerships Office (IPO) is the central service coordinating international partnership activities at Regent's. Alongside his responsibility for leading the University’s IPO team, Masoud will oversee the development of the international partnership strategy, liaising with faculties, schools and departments to ensure partnership activity aligns at all levels, as well as developing and enhancing the relationships with existing and new partners. 

Masoud brings in longstanding experience in managing transnational education (TNE) partnerships, student and staff mobility, quality assurance and managing complex institutional partnerships. He has worked in a number of international regions and markets and also supported international recruitment throughout his career.  

A man of many talents, he is also a writer, playwright and theatre director, with a number of books published and various theatre and radio drama credits to his name. His debut novel, Vanished: The Mysterious Disappearance of Mustafa Ouda was published in 2015, and The Shroud Maker, both written and directed by Masoud is currently appearing on stage at the Greenwich Theatre.
