Regent’s welcomes two new International Officers in North America

Regent’s University London is thrilled to welcome two new International Officers, Haley Drogus and Brandon Groves, to its Student Recruitment team, both based in North America.

Responsible for supporting international student recruitment in North America, Haley will focus primarily on postgraduate studies and the Regent’s Study Abroad programme, and joins the University from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (LIM) in New York City.

Having primarily worked in fashion previously, Haley was obtaining her Masters at LIM, before transitioning from a student to an employee and running the pre-college fashion programmes. Most recently, Haley worked as the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, which involved recruiting, counselling and admitting all graduate students to LIM across the USA as well as internationally.

Haley is looking forward to working at Regent’s and working for a global and diverse institution, not only across the student body but also the staff. “I’m looking forward to working for a school that is so global and diverse. I feel like it’s such a unique place with so much to offer to potential US students.”

Brandon, whose focus is on undergraduate programmes, joins Regent’s from a strong education background. Starting out as an English conversation teacher in Japan, Brandon moved into higher education in 2008, looking after the domestic recruitment for an art and design school in the USA.

Later working with Navitas, a global education provider, assisting in international student recruitment at one of their affiliates in Florida, Brandon also worked for a state university in Ohio in various capacities, including international credential evaluation at the University of Akron.

“I think that Regent’s is a very special place. There is a lot of opportunity for students to grow personally as well as academically, especially for a student who is looking for a globalised setting. This is truly a global campus which is a really exciting prospect for students,” commented Brandon.

Outside of the office, Haley can be found with her nose in a book, having set herself a target of reading 50 books this year, and Brandon and his husband run a farm raising goats, chickens, pigs and sugar gliders!
