Students from The Russian Embassy School visit Regent’s

Students from The Russian Embassy School were given the opportunity to see what student life is like at Regent’s University London. Their visit included a detailed tour of the main campus, with a visit to the library, the Hive, a student dormitory and lunch in the Refectory.

Stuart McKenzie and Vincent Ong conducted two 45 minute lectures for the students on ‘fashion drawing’ and ‘where will your talent take you? Journey to 2022’ respectively.

During the first lecture, the students were shown modern trends and techniques in graphic design, and were given the chance to draw a portrait of their friends using these techniques. They also visited the design studio and chatted with current students about the processes of designing and making clothes.

Ekaterina Gulbinskaya, International Officer (Russia & CIS) at Regent’s, said: ‘It was such a pleasure hosting students from The Russian Embassy School. The taster lectures gave students a chance to meet department staff, gain hands-on experience of the facilities and meet other like-minded people.’

The students warmly thanked Ekaterina Gulbinskaya and presented her with a small gift with Russian symbols.
