You’ll also explore customer targeting and acquisition – learning to perform audience research, identify markets and leverage changing behaviours. Working on live projects with teams from real luxury brands, you'll discover how London’s most esteemed names attract and retain their premium clientele. Recently, students developed customer expansion strategies with Harrods and digital marketing campaigns with Boodles.

Our exclusive partnership with Walpole, the UK’s official trade body for the luxury sector, provides unparalleled access to some of the UK’s best-known brands across a variety of sectors. • Experienced a gala dinner on the Seine

In your final term, you’ll complete a dissertation or live project, developing and presenting a new business plan or consultancy project over a four-day period. Moreover, you will be able to get a grasp on how Brands create and capture value through their marketing and communication strategies.

Term 2

Module title
Strategic management in the luxury sector In times of change, luxury brands face various challenges such as the emergence of technologies, social and environmental issues and changing market preferences. This drives brands to have to strategically respond and adapt to the external and internal changes, and potentially change direction to stay relevant. This module enables you to critically analyse the complex global environment in which the luxury sector operates and the roles that leaders and managers play in formulating and evaluating strategy within luxury organisations. You are encouraged to critically reflect upon the importance of leadership in developing, protecting and attaining strategic capabilities within organisations. You will develop your understanding of the interrelationship between strategy, leadership and corporate responsibility across the luxury sector through subjects such as strategy, finance, law, business ethics, organisational culture and change management.
Entrepreneurship, Luxury Brands and Creativity  Creativity lies at the very heart of global luxury brands. More often than not, new ventures are co-created by a group of individuals working together as a team. Creativity is a necessary component of innovation, and entrepreneurship involves recognising new business opportunities and using creativity to meet unmet needs in the marketplace in an innovative way. Creativity is part of the entrepreneurial mindset which leads to the production of new products, services or experiences that are unique and valuable to customers.

This module combines concepts and frameworks from the fields of Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Luxury, and Innovation to create a learning environment that allows you the opportunity to develop a luxury brand concept ready to pitch for funding. You will be encouraged to take reasonable risks by stepping out of your comfort zone to explore ways of generating a new innovative solution. By stretching your creative, entrepreneurial, and team-building skills in new venture development, you'll gain the ability to understand and navigate the complex decision-making processes required to balance co-creation efforts with the practical demands of bringing a product to market.
Professional Perspectives This module will help you to define and develop your professional identity and build career objectives. You'll explore the skills you need to succeed in the contemporary workplaces (including large organisations and start-ups), explore professional communications, project management, collaboration, entrepreneurial and creative thinking, active personal and professional reflection. You’ll also learn strategies for how to plan your career, aware that concepts of work will become increasingly more fluid as time goes on.
Language or Special Elective Choose between a language module or an elective module. Scroll to the top of the page to find a link to our full list.

Term 3

Module title
Final Major Project The Final Major Project is the culmination of your master’s course. You'll integrate and apply the knowledge, experiences and thinking you've developed to a project that you conceive and design. Your project should ideally be focused on your next professional steps – it can form part of your portfolio as you move towards work, further study or setting up a new business. It may be based on conducting research, solving a practical problem, or creating an artefact – or it may be a combination of all three. Whichever approach you choose, you will critically record and reflect on your intellectual, creative and investigative processes in detail. While you’ll have the support of your course tutors and an academic supervisor, as a postgraduate student you’ll be expected to develop and prove your ability to operate independently in both academic and professional settings.
