Overview

As this is a part-time course, students can receive a single sponsored Student visa valid for the one-week residential sprints, held six times over two years on campus in London. The visa does not permit any work while in the UK.

This sector contributes around £7.8 trillion to the global economy (Hospitality and Catering News) and is constantly evolving – growing at a rate of 5.9%, almost double that of the UK economy (UK Hospitality). With more jobs than ever before, and more businesses spending serious time and money searching for new talent and promoting those already in positions, there's never been a better time to pursue a career in luxury hospitality.

Designed with flexibility in mind, this part-time course, delivered over two years, is taught through a combination of online workshops and six intensive one-week residential sprints in London – allowing you to balance your studies with ongoing work commitments, no matter where in the world you're based.

Working collaboratively with professional peers from all over the world, you'll explore what it takes to lead in the luxury hospitality sector and beyond. You'll dive into all aspects of the industry (from service excellence and innovation to brand strategy and financial forecasting), investigate current issues and propose creative solutions to real problems, while learning to:

How to apply

Applying to Regent's is quick and easy. We accept direct applications year-round and there's no application fee. If you haven't received your exam results, you can still apply and we'll issue you with a conditional offer. You just need be clear in your application which qualifications you're currently studying for.

Step 1: Apply

During the application process, you'll have the chance to upload supporting documents, including:

  • A copy of your passport (photograph ID page)
  • Academic transcripts and certificates from all previous studies
  • A 500-700 word personal statement (view guidance)
  • If you're not a native English speaker, proof of your English proficiency

Credit transfer

If you’ve already studied part of your degree elsewhere, you may be able to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and join your new course at an advanced entry point. To apply for RPL, you'll need to state this clearly in your application and provide us with the certificates, transcripts and module descriptions for your previous course.

Step 2: Receive a response

You can expect to receive a decision on your application within 10 working days. We'll assess whether you meet our entry requirements and will notify you of our decision via email. UCAS applicants will also receive official notification via the UCAS system.

For some of our courses, the selection process may include an interview or audition. They can take the form of a one-to-one interview, a group interview or a portfolio review, which may be conducted by telephone or online. Arrangements of these are made between you and the Admissions department.

Step 3: Accept your offer

If you wish to accept your offer, you must pay your (non-refundable) advance tuition fee deposit. This will confirm your place. Here's how.

Step 4: Register 

Closer to the start of term, our Admissions team will send instructions regarding your registration process. This will include information on completing your online enrolment before you arrive, as well as a checklist of documents you'll need to bring with you to campus.

Fees

Tuition fee: 

  • £14,500 per year for the academic year starting in September 2025.

Non-refundable advance deposit:

UK students: £1,000
International students: £4,000

When do I need to pay?

If you receive an offer for a course, you’ll receive a pro forma invoice. To accept your offer and secure your place, pay your deposit payment as soon as possible.

The remaining portion of your first year’s tuition fees will be due when you enrol. At this time, you’ll receive your invoice for the full year. You can choose to pay for the year in full before the start of your first academic year or in two instalments, spread out across the academic year. The dates of these instalments will be determined by when your course starts.

What do fees include?

Fees cover the cost of all tuition and access to the University’s IT infrastructure and library learning resources. Fees are presented for the first level of study which equates to two terms. 

What other costs should I budget for?

You will need to budget additional funds for accommodation and living expenses, travel, and any additional trips, visits, activities or courses that you choose to participate in outside of the tuition offered as part of your course.

The library holds a limited number of copies of core textbooks and where possible in e-format. You will be encouraged to purchase your own textbooks and will need to budget approximately £80-£100 per year, depending on your course.

How you'll learn  

At Regent's, you’ll have the freedom to explore your interests in a dynamic, supportive and collaborative environment with interactive classes, industry opportunities, specialist facilities and tailored careers advice – ensuring you develop the skills, experience and confidence you need to secure your dream job.

You'll convene on campus once a quarter for a week-long workshop led by hospitality experts. Based in London, you'll also have opportunities to explore luxury establishments and build your network.

The course is delivered as a hybrid of independent study and with six one-week in-person workshops.

Academic requirements: Level 7

We're interested in your potential, as well as your prior achievements – and review each application comprehensively on its own merit. You'll need the following qualifications:

  • Minimum second class UK undergraduate degree
  • Equivalent international qualifications, as deemed acceptable by Admissions & UK ENIC

As well as:

  • A 500-700 word personal statement outlining your experience and ambitions
  • A CV showing evidence of work experience in a hotel or hospitality oriented property

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning

We also welcome applications from students who don't meet our usual entry requirements. To be accepted for exceptional entry, you must:

  • Have three years of work experience if you don't hold a degree

You'll need to provide us with:

  • Your current CV
  • A headed employment letter detailing your position and length of service
  • A headed reference letter
  • A personal statement outlining your experience and ambitions

This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, by academic referral only.

Interview

In addition to meeting our academic and English language requirements, this course also requires you to pass an interview. Once you've applied and submitted your supporting documents, and we've assessed your eligibility, successful candidates will be invited, and can choose to attend in person or online.

Sprint 1

Module title
Personal Mastery and Executive Acumen Hone your leadership skills and learn how to implement strategic plans, drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving luxury hospitality sector. Gain insights into transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, decision-making, team building and conflict resolution – learning to become an inspirational leader, capable of making organisational changes, inspiring colleagues, drive performance and navigate complex challenges while upholding ethical standards. By the end of this module, you’ll feel equipped to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in your workplace.

Sprint 2

Module title
Financial Leadership and Forecasting Explore financial forecasting, budgeting, strategy and revenue management – aspects that are integral to luxury management. You’ll delve into pricing strategies, demand forecasting, distribution channel management and customer behaviour to optimate revenue performance and gain a deep understanding of the financial decisions, strategies and risks associated with managing luxury hospitality organisations. You’ll learn how to develop and manage budgets and resources effectively and pick up tools to help you achieve business goals quickly.

Module title
People and Culture Leadership Learn to build a productive, inclusive business – touching on diversity, sustainability, engagement and leadership. You’ll gain a sophisticated understanding of organisational development within the contemporary global luxury hospitality industry and learn how to create and foster a work environment that motivates employees, improves job satisfaction, boosts productivity and enhances service quality.

Business Strategy and Brand Positioning Delve into the intricacies of managing a luxury brand – PR, positioning, marketing and crisis management. You’ll explore the concept of brand positioning and marketing strategy within the luxury hospitality industry and learn how to effectively identify, manage and mitigate crises that could potentially impact the reputation or operation of a luxury brand.

Change Leadership Discover the pillars that drive successful business innovation, including change management, project planning and relationship skills. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with managing change and discover how effective project planning and customer relations is essential for the successful execution of new initiatives – fostering lasting connections that drive customer loyalty and business growth.

Module title
Applied Project Apply academic theory to a real-world scenario, while showcasing your problem-solving and leadership capabilities. The focus of the project can vary depending on your area of interest or the needs of your workplace. You could develop a new marketing strategy, implement a revenue management system, improve operational efficiency, enhance your guest experience, lead a team through organisational change, or plan for business sustainability – the choice is yours.
