Robert McKee International Screenwriting Scholarship

In partnership with author Robert McKee, we're honoured to offer this scholarship to one student per term, studying Screenwriting and Producing or Screenwriting and Producing with Foundation.

Reward amount	£7,000 towards fees for each year of study. A complimentary place at the London Screenwriters’ Festival, whenever it’s hosted at Regent's University London. A leading role in Film, Media & Performance events at Regent’s.

Programmes	BA (Hons) Screenwriting and Producing and BA (Hons) Screenwriting and Producing with Foundation.

Robert McKee, a Fulbright Scholar, is the most sought-after screenwriting lecturer around the globe – having dedicated 30 years to educating and mentoring screenwriters, poets, novelists, playwrights, documentary makers, producers and directors internationally.

Submit a short film script

Please submit a short film script, in correct screenplay formatting, of up to five minutes in length and a 1,000 word statement answering the following question:

‘Why would being a Robert McKee International Screenwriting scholar be important to you?’

If your application is shortlisted

If shortlisted, you will be invited to interview (face-to-face or online) with members of the Film, Media & Performance team at Regent’s. You will be asked to discuss your short drama script and points from your statement, as well as answer other interview questions.
