Overview
The Dr Nicholas Bowen Award for Excellence was established in 2017, at the wish of Dr Nicholas Bowen. Dr Bowen was instrumental in the success of international business at Regent’s from 1980 to 2012. He was awarded an Honorary Senior Fellowship in 2017, which he was honoured to accept. He was also President of the Chartered Institute of Linguists from 2012 until his death, having worked with the institute for more than 25 years.

Today, the Dr Nicholas Bowen Award for Excellence offers £2,000 to one student who best demonstrates the following attributes:
- Academic performance
- A spirit of enterprise
- Commitment to internationalism
- Ability to build community spirit amongst the student body

How to Apply
This scholarship is awarded through competition. To apply, please complete the following tasks:
1. Please write an 800-1000 word essay on the following topic, according to your own interpretation:
“The award is given for academic performance, a spirit of enterprise, commitment to internationalism, team spirit and contribution to the student body. How have you demonstrated these attributes in your time at Regent's?”
2. Please email your final essay to Dr Vincent Ong.
