Visa documents for registration

We are required to check your passport and immigration details to ensure you have the right to study in the UK, and keep a record on our systems. Because of this, we are asking all visa bearing students to send electronic copies of their documents to us. You must email us with the relevant documentation in order to become a registered student and be able to commence your course.

The documents you need to provide depend on the passport and immigration status - please see the relevant sections below.

EU Settlement Scheme

If you hold status under the EU Settlement Scheme we will need to verify this online as part of your enrolment check. Please use the following UK Visas & Immigration service up to 30 days before you enrol to share your status with us [https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status]. This service can be used even if you are still waiting for your EU Settlement Scheme application to be decided. Please send your code along with your Student ID to: visadocuments@regents.ac.uk

Student Visa

EU/EEA Passport

You will have been issued a CAS letter by our Admissions team enabling you to apply for your Student visa. If your application was successful, you will have received an email from the UK Visas and Immigration confirming the outcome. If you applied for your Student visa with an EU/EEA passport and used ‘UK Immigration: ID Check’ app, you will normally receive an electronic visa. In order to send your visa confirmation to us you will need to generate a code using this website. Please share this code with us so that we can verify your visa status.

If you applied with an EU/EEA passport but did not use the 'UK Immigration: ID Check' app, please follow the instructions in the section below.

Non-EU/EEA citizens and those unable to use ‘UK Immigration: ID Check’ app

Temporary Entry Clearance Visa Vignette

You will have been issued a CAS letter by our Admissions team enabling you to apply for your Student visa. If your application was successful, your passport will have been endorsed with a Student Visa Temporary Entry Clearance Vignette sticker, allowing you entry into the UK. It is important you send us a clear scanned copy of this document so that we can check the details and to pass your immigration check.

The Temporary Entry Clearance Vignette in your passport will look like this:

Biometric Residence Permit

If you have already entered the UK using your Entry Clearance vignette and you have collected your Biometrics Residence Permit (BRP) visa card from the Post Office, you must also send us copies of both front and back of the card.:

The BRP looks like this:

What if I have applied for my Student visa, but I am still awaiting a decision?

Please do not worry as you can still pass the immigration checks and commence your course. You will need to provide us of evidence of when you submitted your visa application. For example, this can be a screen shot of an email confirming your biometric appointment. The University will then follow up with you closer to the date you provided to obtain the relevant documents we require to hold on record.

What if I have not applied for my Student visa yet?

If you have not submitted your visa application yet, please do not worry as you can still pass the immigration checks and commence your course via distance learning from your home country. Please do not travel to the UK until you have received your specific study visa. You must inform us of the date of when you intend to apply for your visa so that we can keep a record. The University will then follow up with you closer to the date you provided to obtain the relevant documents we require to hold on record.

You must send the required documentation to us as soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in not receiving information regarding the welcome week and induction programme and being unable to join your course.
