Dr Anastasios Gaitanidis, a Senior Lecturer in the DPsych Counselling Psychology programme, has published a textbook on psychoanalysis and the sublime, with globally renowned publisher Routledge.
The book covers 'notions of the sublime, which are most often associated with the extraordinary. Using psychoanalytic and aesthetic theories, this book aims to revitalise the sublime by re-evaluating its significance in contemporary life and, in a unique and fascinating endeavour, opens up a space that explores the sublime in the ordinary, everyday and quotidian.'
