Research published by Dr Simon O'Leary, highlighting how entrepreneurial learning and experience enhances the development of management attributes, has becomes the most viewed article in the international Journal of Education & Work's 2017 portfolio.
The work focuses on graduate attributes as precursors for management attributes. This forms part of the foundation for Simon's Directorship of the proposed new University Research Centre on Entrepreneurship & Family Business, along with a strong team of colleagues from across the University in B&M, HASS, RILC & Professional Services.
The Journal of Education & Work is in the top-third of the Chartered Association of Business Schools' ranked list of 43 selected international journals in Management Development and Education, and also features similarly strongly in the Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management field of 172 journals worldwide.
The JOEW portfolio of 62 papers in 2017 were authored by academics from higher education institutions across the world, including the Universities of Bath, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Oxford, UCL and elsewhere in the UK, as well as others from across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Australasia.
Views of Dr O'Leary's paper far exceeds most of the others and he anticipates that his extension paper on related issues concerning entrepreneurship, management attributes and gender could have an ever greater impact in international academic and professional fields.
