Studying Psychotherapy & Psychology

Regent’s is a leading training institution for psychology, psychotherapy and counselling psychology. We nurture our students to become professionals with a solid grounding in theory, equipped to think independently and work skilfully and ethically in a variety of settings.

Psychology at Regent’s offers a wealth of scientific insight into how the human brain functions and the ways that this knowledge can be applied in society. Our psychotherapy and counselling programmes teach a range of theoretical perspectives, encouraging enquiry and analysis. They offer a seamless training route, from foundation all the way through to postgraduate and professional qualification. Explore the practical and ethical issues of working with clients and develop essential communication skills. You'll be encouraged to examine your own beliefs, assumptions and prejudices and develop your capacity to reflect on your interpersonal and emotional processes, patterns and experiences.

Our psychotherapy and counselling programmes lead to professional membership of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Depending on the path you choose, you'll also be eligible for accreditation with other professional bodies, including the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
