The iCES organises an annual cycle of events published through the iCES Occasional Paper series.
The challenges confronting contemporary Europe are wide-ranging: enlargement, climate change, energy, defence, financial integration, security and migration. The overall purpose of iCES is to engage actively in this debate on the construction of Europe in the 21st century and aim in the process to raise the profile of contemporary Europe and contemporary European studies.
